The challenge with this model is that users consume content and leave.
LogPlayd was designed around a different idea.
Create a platform where members could actively participate, build collections, discover games, and become part of an ongoing community experience.

Attracting users is one challenge.
Keeping them engaged is another.
Without meaningful participation opportunities, membership platforms often struggle with:
Users engage once but have little reason to return.
Content is viewed, but participation remains limited.
Interaction between members remains low.
Growth becomes difficult when engagement drops over time.
Features exist but do not feel connected.
Community growth becomes harder to sustain.
Growth Depends on Engagement
Community platforms succeed when members return regularly.
The goal was not simply generating traffic.
The goal was creating reasons for users to:
Without engagement, growth becomes difficult to sustain.
Designing The Membership Journey
Before considering individual features, the focus was placed on understanding how members would experience the platform over time.
Creating Reasons To Return
Every area of the platform was designed to contribute to long-term engagement.
Allow members to build a library of games they care about.
Create ongoing engagement and personal investment.
Help members find new games relevant to their interests.
Encourage interaction and shared experiences.
Support identity and contribution within the community.
Create long-term value beyond a single visit.
Supporting future growth
Rather than focusing only on current requirements, the platform was structured to support future expansion.
